Cockroaches are nocturnal insects that prefer to live and feed in dark and moist places. These areas include under the floor drains, inside appliances, and behind refrigerators, sinks and stoves. Cockroaches can flatten their bodies to fit through narrow spaces where they would breed. They also carry many health risks such as food contamination, increased risk of asthma and the transmission of diseases such as salmonella and dysentery

Black grainy droppings in dark and closed spaces, and along the walls
Sightings of small dark brown oval-shaped casings which are cockroach eggs
Sightings of moulted skin
